About Me:
I am a born and raised New Yorker that has always been a crazy energetic bunny straight out of my mama’s womb. My mother, the real G.O.A.T, immigrated my family to the USA all by herself when she was 35 years old. With only $36 in her pocket and an English/Chinese dictionary, my mother resiliently set roots down for my family in the inspiring and bedazzling concrete jungle of New York City.
Then
Unfortunately, the American Dream wasn’t as glamorous and easily attainable as she thought it would be. My father passed away when I was six years old leaving her to fend for my brother and I by taking on three-four jobs at a time.
I am humbled and grateful to my mother for instilling me with strong core values, discipline, and grit.
While I struggled with finding my identity (as everyone does on their trek of life!), my journey consisted of a constant battle of self-doubt, self-hatred, and a sense that I would never be good enough to achieve the dreams and goals I hoped to manifest. On the outside to strangers and friends I appeared to be fierce and strong.
I shielded myself with a poker face that acted as my steel armor—not allowing anyone to penetrate. A protection that grew out of an environment where my family and I had to survive.
Now
I share this snippet of my past upfront with you all to recognize that everyone has a trek they are on in figuring out life and more importantly how to enjoy it to the fullest! I started this passion project because I want to help others on their trek in manifesting their potential. Nowadays, I am actively shedding that armor and evolving my mindset to be of self-love and confidence.
I am stepping into the unknown, allowing myself to be vulnerable in the scariest way—opening myself to strangers on the internet! (Yes you—hello!)
Like I mentioned I am no expert and have a long way to learn but the journey in learning and achieving all that I want to is a lot more exciting and fulfilling with others.
Therefore, as nervous and scared I may be as I type this first blog post I am pushing through. I don’t want to wake up 96 years old one day filled with so many “what ifs…”
